Wanda Moorehead's Rehabilitation Success Story

When it comes to our rehabilitation residents, our goal is to give them the tools necessary to not only leave our facility with a higher quality of life, but to set them up for continued success once they are out of our care. We love celebrating these victories and recognizing the hard work our residents put in to get back their independence.



Wanda Moorehead came to Waterview Pointe with a right ankle fracture and was non-weight-bearing. She was dependent with her transfers, required max assist for bed mobility due to pain with all movement of her right leg, and was unable to ambulate. Upon discharge home, she was able to make sit-to-stand transfers and ambulate with a walker up to 50 feet with contact guard assist and was independent with bed mobility.

Wanda worked very hard to reach her goals and return home with her husband. Wanda said, "everyone here was very nice, all of you." We are very proud of Wanda and her hard work in therapy.
