Meet the Faces Behind the Care: Honoring Our Dedicated Staff
March 21, 2025
At Waterview Pointe, we love celebrating our employees and recognizing their hard work. This month, we honored several important roles, including Human Resources, Dietary, Marketing, and Administration. Let’s take a moment to get to know these amazing individuals and the impact they have on our skilled nursing community.
Ashley Grubb has been working in Human Resources in the medical field since 2009 and has been with Waterview Pointe for three years. When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Ashley shared,
“I love the interaction I get with all of the staff. Although it can be a challenge at times, I truly enjoy finding the perfect fit for any open position. Seeing the end result—a happy team providing the quality care our residents deserve—is incredibly rewarding.”
Ashley also expressed how much she values working with the company.
“This has been the best company I’ve ever worked for. They truly care about their staff and residents. They keep up with the competitive economy by offering fair wages and rewarding employees with thoughtful gestures—things you just don’t see from many employers anymore. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a medical field position with a family-like atmosphere to apply here at Waterview Pointe.”
Morgan Bartmess has been a Registered Dietitian for five years and has been part of the company for two years this April. She shared that one of the most fulfilling aspects of her job is interacting with residents, seeing their smiles, and hearing their life stories.

Morgan appreciates the teamwork at Waterview Pointe, saying,
“Everyone works together to ensure residents have the best quality of life. From the moment I first arrived, I felt welcomed and appreciated. The residents seem truly happy here, which is so important when choosing a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.”
Before joining Waterview Pointe, Kyla Smith worked in various medical field roles, most recently as a Hospice Social Worker. This May, she will celebrate two years with us.
When asked what she loves most about her role, Kyla shared,
“I enjoy meeting a diverse group of people and hearing their stories. Both residents and families are going through a major life transition, and I find it fulfilling to offer support and comfort to help make that process as smooth as possible.”
Kyla describes her time at Waterview Pointe as the best job she’s ever had. “
The family-like atmosphere and support from everyone—through both the good and the challenging times—make all the difference. Working in a skilled nursing facility comes with its challenges, but it is also one of the most rewarding careers out there.”
Chris Jonas has been an Administrator for 15 years, five of which he has spent at Waterview Pointe. He shared that his favorite part of the job is learning the unique stories of both residents and staff.
“I am grateful to work for a company and alongside a team that genuinely cares about our residents,” Chris said.
“Everyone here is dedicated to ensuring that our residents receive the best care possible, and that makes all the difference.”
At Waterview Pointe, our employees are the heart of what we do. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence make our community a truly special place. We are proud to celebrate them—not just this month, but every day!
