Trunk-or-Treat Festival: A Ghoulishly Good Time!
October 16, 2023
On Thursday, October 12, spooky season officially kicked off at Waterview Pointe with a Trunk-or-Treat Festival! This event was open to the public for adults and children of all ages. Trunk-or-Treats have become increasingly popular in the area, so we wanted to add our own twist to it!
Aside from the decorated trunks (which all looked amazing), there were games, pumpkin painting, face painting, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, and a petting zoo. The residents really enjoyed handing out candy, seeing all the awesome costumes, and voting for the best trunk, awarded to the O'Neill Center, and best costume, awarded to Ashley Pape with Shrivers Hospice.
Although the event took place at Waterview Pointe, it would not have been made possible without our sponsors and participants. They include PATH Behavioral Health, Amedisys Hospice, O'Neill Center, S.M.Miller Home Services, Shrivers Hospice, Elison Assisted Living, Right at Home, Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, Williamstown Fire Company, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Marietta Fire Department, Twisted Toppings Sundaes and Scoops, Gab and the Goats, and the many friends, families, residents, and staff members at Waterview Pointe.

From the perfect weather to the community participation, we could not be happier with our first Trunk-or-Treat Festival. We are already looking forward to next year!
