Resident Spotlight: Leah

May 22, 2024
On May 12, 2024, Leah turned 100 years old! Leah is one of our treasured long-term care residents and worked as a secretary with Theisen-Brock in Marietta for over 20 years. She was married for 51 years to her late beloved husband, Wendell Grimm. Leah has three children: Ernest, Cheryl, and Gloria. Throughout her life, she enjoyed sewing, boating, and fishing. One of her favorite stories to share is from her time caring for others, including her great-grandmother, who also lived to be 100!

Leah is known for being energetic and outgoing. She was always active in her church, especially with the children’s ministry. Above all, Leah has cherished becoming a grandmother, or “GG” as her family calls her, and spending time with her seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Leah was surrounded by staff and family to celebrate such a joyous occasion.

Leah is both spunky and sweet. We at Waterview Pointe feel incredibly lucky to be able to celebrate such a huge milestone with such an incredible lady. Happy birthday, Leah!
