Celebrating Our Activity Team

During the month of January, we celebrated National Activities Professional Week, but our Activity Team deserves far more than a week of appreciation. Our Activity Director, Charlie Lumbatis, along with his activity staff, Leslie Booth and Vicky Butchelli, play a vital role in the lives of our residents at Waterview Pointe, and we want to highlight them and how awesome they are!

Thanks to our team of activity professionals, our residents have the opportunity to engage in much more than just Bingo. Our activity programs are resident-centered, meeting individualized needs, keeping residents constantly engaged, and, most importantly, helping to improve their overall quality of life.



Our residents’ favorite activities include Bingo, crafts, ball drumming, cards, and so much more! Activities at Waterview Pointe are created for our residents, but our staff members like to join in on the fun too! Our Dietary Manager likes to jump in and participate from time to time, baking recipes of our residents' choice with them and then enjoying the treats together when they're finished. Meanwhile, our Aides will take time to paint residents' nails and curl their hair upon request. We love getting everyone involved, and our residents do too!

The entire Activity Team at Waterview Pointe goes above and beyond to make sure each holiday, including monthly birthdays, is celebrated together. Residents are also engaged and active during daily activities set up for them to get out of their rooms, move around and socialize. Activities improve residents' quality of life by enriching their day-to-day with movement, social interaction, imagination, and celebration of special events that bring smiles and laughter.

While Charlie, Leslie, and Vicky keep our residents up, moving, smiling, and socializing, it is a true team effort to make sure each of our residents' interests and hobbies is known and met.
