Waterview Pointe Team Member Receives The Heart of Hospice Award!

Waterview Pointe is thrilled to announce that our very own Malynda Moorehead, LPN, was awarded The Heart of Hospice, presented by Marietta Hospice! Our skilled nursing facility has an amazing team, but Malynda has recently stood out as exceptional while advocating for her patient during their end-of-life care.

Marietta Hospice created this award program to honor those who embody a good end-of-life philosophy to care for their residents. Our Director of Nursing thought Malynda deserved this award for the compassion shown for a passing resident and their family. Her loving personality and attention to detail as a Nurse did not go unnoticed by her co-workers and the family, who were also very complimentary of Malynda.



Not only is Malynda a devoted Nurse, but she comes into work daily with kindness and thoughtfulness in her heart and fills the hall with her smiles. She and the staff members she works alongside want to thank Kim King from Amedisys Hospice for supplying the award, gift, cake and refreshments. This is not an ordinary award, so we are humbled that one of our team members has been recognized in such a phenomenal way. When Malynda was given the award she stated, “This makes me feel amazing!”
